DEEP HOUSEシーンの巨匠、UKを拠点に長年活躍し続けるAtjazzことMartin Ivesonが、数多のレジェンド達とコラボレーションし、全27曲という圧倒的なボリュームで送る、自身のキャリアの集大成とも言える超大作アルバム”Starbase 17“を2026年1月にリリースした。
盟友Osunladeをはじめ、Josh Milan, OMAR, Kaidi Tatham, Karizma, Nathan Haines, Fred Everythingなどなど、各シーンにおいて確固たる影響力を持つトッププレイヤー達が、１つのアルバムにこれほど集結した例は他に類を見ない。
DEEP HOUSEからBROKEN BEAT、R&B、SOULなど、ジャンルの垣根を越えて様々な音が網羅されており、それぞれの曲が独立した世界観を持っているにも関わらず、アルバムを通して一貫性のある軸を感じ取ることが出来る。
自身が本作について「歌と音を巡る壮大な叙事詩」と明言しているが、その言葉の通り、まさにサウンドオデッセイ。人間味に溢れた温かい音と、スペーシーで近未来的な音が織りなすハーモニーが秀逸で、いずれCLASSICSとして語り継がれることになるであろう名盤。

Martin Iveson, better known as Atjazz—a virtuoso of the UK deep house scene with a career spanning decades—has released his magnum opus, “Starbase 17,” in January 2026. This monumental 27-track album serves as the pinnacle of his artistic journey, brought to life through collaborations with an array of musical legends.
The lineup of contributors is truly unrivaled; it is rare to see so many influential figures from across the spectrum gathered in a single project. The album features his close ally Osunlade, alongside heavyweights such as Josh Milan, OMAR, Kaidi Tatham, Karizma, Nathan Haines, and Fred Everything, to name but a few.
The record seamlessly traverses genres, spanning DEEP HOUSE, BROKEN BEAT, R&B, and SOUL. While each of the 27 tracks possesses its own distinct identity and atmosphere, a consistent creative axis runs through the entire album, binding it into a cohesive whole.
