His latest EP on the rising Spanish imprint MATE features two substantial, long-form tracks that masterfully lean into the art of musical storytelling. Drawing from his own experience as a dancer, CoFlo utilizes “arrangements that breathe”—purposefully crafted to let the energy on the floor simmer and build—inviting the listener into a state of deep immersion.
“Won’t Help It” is the fruit of an inexhaustible quest for innovative sound design. Here, CoFlo seamlessly blends experimental techniques—utilizing SWAM physical modeling and AI processing—with a rich, organic texture. The groove, a fusion of shimmering steel drums and the euphoric, Brazilian-inspired vibes of vocalizado (wordless vocals), radiates the same blissful energy found in his previous standout “If It Goes”.
