HOUSEシーンに携わる人であればその名を知らない人は居ないであろう、HOUSEシーンにおけるマエストロ、Louie Vega。彼が2022年の4月にリリースしたフルアルバム”Expansions In The NYC”は、数多のボーカリストやプロデューサー達とのコラボレーションにより、ダンスミュージックにおける1つのレガシーとして数えるに相応しいアルバムだった。そんなアルバムの中から、2025年末の”All My Love”に続くフル・リミックス作品として、Tony Momrelleをフィーチャーした”Touch The Sky”がリリースされる。
今作でリミキサーとして白羽の矢が立てられたのは、日米それぞれのシーンで「本物」を追求し続ける2組のアーティスト。
まず注目したいのは、King Street SoundsやSHELTERといったHOUSEの聖地とも言えるレーベルから作品を重ね、自身のレーベルM2SOUL Music、NU ONE Recordsも主宰する、日本が誇るプロデューサー/DJ、Masaki Moriiによるリミックスだ。Tony Momrelleのディープな歌声を殺さず、むしろその熱量を増幅させるように重ねられた、オーガニックなパーカッションと天空へと突き抜けるようなシンセの旋律。そこには、ただ踊らせるだけではない「祈り」にも似た高揚感が宿っている。HOUSEミュージックが本来持っている、魂を解放する力を見事に形にした、まさに「至福」の一曲と言えるだろう
そして、ブルックリンを拠点に現在のシーンを鮮やかに塗り替えているMusclecarsが、このリミックスをさらなる深淵へと導く。ニューヨークの「Nowadays」などのフロアを熱狂させる彼らが持ち込んだのは、10分間という時間をかけてじっくりとリスナーをトランス状態へと誘う、ジャジーで壮大なDEEP HOUSEジャーニーだ。 ピアノとシンセサイザーが火花を散らすような熱いセッション、そして重厚なグルーヴを刻むドラム。後半にかけて熱を帯びていくその展開は、まさに漆黒の夜を突き進むダンスフロアのダイナミズムそのものだ。深夜のフロアを想定した重いダブ・バージョンも含め、彼らのサウンドからはストリートのタフさと洗練された音楽性が同時に伝わってくる。

For anyone involved in the House scene, the name Louie Vega needs no introduction—he is the true maestro of the genre. His April 2022 full-length album, “Expansions In The NYC” featuring a massive lineup of vocalists and producers, stands as a legendary milestone in the history of dance music. Now, following the success of “All My Love” at the end of 2025, a new full-remix package is set to be released: “Touch The Sky” feat. Tony Momrelle.
The remixers chosen for this project are two acts who tirelessly pursue “the real deal” in their respective scenes in Japan and the US.
First to watch is the remix by Masaki Morii, one of Japan’s most esteemed producers and DJs. A regular on quintessential House labels like King Street Sounds and SHELTER, and head of his own imprints M2SOUL Music and NU ONE Records, Morii delivers a masterclass here. He preserves the deep, soulful essence of Tony Momrelle’s vocals while amplifying their intensity through a blend of organic percussion and skyward-reaching synth melodies. It’s more than just a track for the dancefloor; there’s a sense of “prayer-like” euphoria within. This remix is a blissful piece of work that perfectly captures House music’s innate power to liberate the soul.
From Brooklyn, Musclecars takes the remix into even deeper territories. Known for igniting the floor at venues like New York’s Nowadays, the duo brings a majestic, 10-minute Deep House journey designed to pull listeners into a trance-like state. With a fiery session between piano and synthesizers over heavy, driving grooves, the track builds in intensity like the sheer dynamism of a dancefloor piercing through the dead of night. Including a weightier Dub version tailored for the late-night hours, their sound perfectly balances street-level toughness with sophisticated musicality.
