PARTY REPORT – Mời Bạn Vào Nhà Vol.3

ベトナム南部の都市Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)。亜熱帯に属するこの街は、一年を通して30℃前後の気候で、雨とバイクと若者が多い。そんな熱気と活気に溢れる街で催された素晴らしいパーティーについてレポートしたい。

Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), a major city in Southern Vietnam. This subtropical city experiences temperatures around $3 0℃$ year-round, characterized by rain, motorbikes, and a large population of young people. I would like to report on a wonderful party held in this city, brimming with heat and vitality.

2025年10月10日(金)、同年6月に出来たばかりのMYSTIKA SAIGONを会場に、Mời Bạn Vào Nhà Vol.3が開催された。

パーティー名にもなっているMời Bạn Vào Nhàは、Ho Chi Minh Cityを中心に活動するダンスサークル。その名には「どうぞ家 (HOUSE)にお入りください」という、オープンマインドな意味が込められている。普段はHOUSEダンスセッションをHo Chi Minh Cityのスタジオや公園、Rooftop Barなどで定期的に開催しているクルーだ。

Mời Bạn Vào Nhà Vol.3 was held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at MYSTIKA SAIGON, a venue that had just opened in June of the same year.

Mời Bạn Vào Nhà, which is also the name of the party, is a dance circle primarily active in Ho Chi Minh City. Its name conveys an open-minded message: “Please come into the house” The crew regularly organizes HOUSE dance sessions at various locations in Ho Chi Minh City, such as studios, parks, and rooftop bars.

今回の会場となったMYSTIKA SAIGONは、Ho Chi Minh Cityの1区北側に位置する。以前はINDIKA SAIGONとして営業していたが、コロナの影響で一度閉店。今年の6月にMYSTIKA SAIGONとして復活した。

この会場はとてもユニークで、ヘムといわれるベトナム独特な路地裏のエリアを占有する形で存在している。植物に囲まれた狭い道を抜けた先が開けたエリアになっており、その中心にBARを収容した建物があり、そのまわりを囲うように寿司屋、焼き鳥屋、ヌードル屋、アイスクリーム屋が並び、音楽を楽しみながら食事やデザートも楽むことが出来る。BARのある室内エリアでおよそ70人、屋外エリアを含めれば200人は収容出来るであろう広さを誇る。開放感がありながら、どこかトラディショナルな雰囲気を感じることが出来るロケーションだ。

特筆すべきは、MYSTIKA SAIGONのオーナーであるMorganが所属するチームSaigon Dub Stationが2年の歳月をかけて組み上げたサウンドシステム。

主にDUBやREGGAEの音に最適化されたそのサウンドシステムは、柔らかくもしっかり響く低音が特色で、耳に優しい音でありながら、低音はしっかり身体の芯に響く、素晴らしい設計。この日はDEEP/AFRO/SOULFUL HOUSEが演奏されたが、Morgnが常にPAミキサーを調整してくれており、HOUSEの音も非常に良い音で聴くことが出来た。

MYSTIKA SAIGON, the venue for this event, is located in the northern part of District 1 in Ho Chi Minh City. It previously operated as INDIKA SAIGON but closed temporarily due to the pandemic. It was resurrected as MYSTIKA SAIGON in June of this year.

This venue is very unique, occupying an area in one of Vietnam’s distinctive narrow alleys, known as a hẻm. After passing through a narrow path surrounded by plants, you enter an open area. In the center is a building housing the main bar, surrounded by a sushi restaurant, a yakitori shop, a noodle vendor, and an ice cream shop, allowing guests to enjoy food and dessert while listening to the music. The indoor area with the bar can accommodate approximately 70 people, and including the outdoor space, it boasts a capacity of around 200. It is a location with a sense of openness and a subtle traditional atmosphere.

Particularly noteworthy is the sound system, which took two years to assemble by Saigon Dub Station, the team to which MYSTIKA SAIGON’s owner, Morgan, belongs.

Optimized primarily for DUB and REGGAE music, the sound system is characterized by soft yet powerful bass. It is an excellent design: the sound is gentle on the ears, but the low frequencies firmly resonate deep in the body. Although DEEP/AFRO/SOULFUL HOUSE was played on this day, Morgan was constantly adjusting the PA mixer, allowing us to enjoy the HOUSE music with incredibly good sound quality.

この日のDJラインナップはNURANGEメンバーであるnayaとMORI、mi-rai3124、そして現在はHo Chi Minh Cityを拠点に活動するDJ YASUDAの4名。日本のHOUSEダンサーとも親交が深い面々によるミュージックジャーニー。

午後8時を過ぎた頃から続々と集まるダンサー達。午後9時を過ぎた頃には、屋内エリアはほぼ満員という状態となった。

The DJ lineup for the day consisted of four artists: naya and MORI (both members of NURANGE), mi-rai3124, and DJ YASUDA, who is currently based in Ho Chi Minh City. It was a musical journey presented by individuals who have deep ties with Japanese House dancers.

Dancers began gathering one after another just after 8:00 PM. By the time 9:00 PM had passed, the indoor area was nearly full.

Ho Chi Minh CityではHIP HOPやBREAKIN、POPINGなどのダンサーが多いが、HOUSEダンスシーンはまだ誕生から間もないそう。そのため、HOUSEを主体に踊るダンサーはまだまだ少数とのことだが、他ジャンルのダンサーもHOUSEの音でセッションしている姿が多く見られた。

フロアでは、ROCKINGを踊る人もWAACKINGを踊る人もBRAKINを踊る人もHIP HOPを踊る人もSALSAを踊る人もHOUSEを踊る人も、みんなが分け隔てなくパーティー中ずっとダンスセッションしていた。

Mời Bạn Vào Nhàのダンサー達は、とても音に素直で純粋。DJブース前のフロアとBARカウンター前のフロアにそれぞれサークルが出来、Cypherをやっていたと思ったら、ルーティンが始まったり、みんなで輪になってまわったり、踊りを通じたコミュニケーションというものを体現しているかのようだった。

踊っていない人を無理にCypherに引っ張り出したり、他者と競うようなアプローチは全く見掛けなかった。本当に各々が楽しそうにダンスを通じて人と、そして音とコミュニケーションを取るフロア。普段Cypherに出ない自分でさえ、ついつい出てしまうほど、純粋で情熱的で幸せな空間だった。

While there are many dancers specializing in HIP HOP, BREAKING, and POPPING in Ho Chi Minh City, the House dance scene is reportedly still quite new. As a result, the number of dancers who primarily focus on House is still small, but many dancers from other genres were also seen sessioning to House music.

On the floor, people dancing ROCKING, WAACKING, BREAKING, HIP HOP, SALSA, and HOUSE were all sessioning together throughout the party without any sense of division.

The Mời Bạn Vào Nhà dancers are very honest and pure with the music. Circles formed spontaneously on the floor in front of the DJ booth and near the bar counter. They would be doing a Cypher one moment, then a routine would start, and then they would join hands and circle around—it felt like they were embodying communication through dance.

We saw no attempts to forcibly pull non-dancing people into the Cypher or any competitive approaches. It was truly a floor where everyone joyfully communicated with people and with the music through dance. Even for me, someone who usually avoids stepping into a Cypher, it was such a pure, passionate, and happy space that I couldn’t help but join in.

Ho Chi Minh Cityには数多のCLUBやDJ BARが存在しており、毎夜どこかで観光客や駐在外国人が音楽やお酒を楽しんでいるが、その多くはTECHNOやTECH HOUSE、EDM、VINA HOUSEが主流で、DEEP HOUSEやSOULFUL HOUSEのシーンはほぼ皆無と聞いた。

この純粋で情熱的なダンサー達が、もっと気軽に、そして自由に楽しめる場が今後増えていくことを願うと共に、来年またこの素晴らしい時間を共有出来ればと強く思う。

Ho Chi Minh City has numerous clubs and DJ bars where tourists and foreign residents enjoy music and drinks every night. However, I heard that the majority of these venues mainly feature TECHNO, TECH HOUSE, EDM, or VINA HOUSE, and the DEEP HOUSE and SOULFUL HOUSE scenes are virtually non-existent.

I truly hope that more opportunities will arise for these pure and passionate dancers to enjoy themselves casually and freely, and I strongly wish we can share this wonderful time again next year.
